The Dent Devils provides specialized Aircraft Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) for qualifying hail damage and cosmetic dents on private aircraft and corporate/business jets throughout San Diego and Southern California.
With more than 40 years of professional metalworking experience and specializing in Paintless Dent Repair since 1996, Eddie Martin brings decades of advanced metalworking knowledge to challenging cosmetic aircraft dent repairs.
Our aircraft PDR experience includes cosmetic repairs performed on small/private aircraft and corporate/business jets under appropriate supervision.

Hail can leave an otherwise beautiful aircraft covered with dozens—or even hundreds—of shallow dents.
When the aircraft and damage are determined to be appropriate for Paintless Dent Repair, specialized PDR techniques may allow many of these dents to be improved or removed while preserving the aircraft’s existing painted finish.
Rather than covering a dent with body filler and refinishing the area, Paintless Dent Repair works the damaged metal back toward its original contour using specialized tools, lighting, and controlled metalworking techniques.
Depending on the aircraft and type of damage, the benefits of PDR may include:
Aircraft PDR requires much more than simply knowing how to push a dent.
Aircraft skin thickness, aluminum characteristics, access, rivets and fasteners, underlying structures, dent location, previous repairs, coatings, and manufacturer requirements can all affect whether a particular dent is an appropriate candidate for Paintless Dent Repair.
Every aircraft and every damaged area must therefore be considered individually.
Our aircraft PDR experience includes cosmetic dent repairs on:
Private Aircraft
Small General Aviation Aircraft
Corporate Aircraft
Business Jets

Qualifying Cosmetic Aircraft Dents
Eddie Martin has worked professionally with damaged metal for more than four decades and has specialized in Paintless Dent Repair since 1996.
During that time, he has repaired everything from minor cosmetic dents to extremely complex aluminum damage that many technicians would consider beyond the normal limits of Paintless Dent Repair.
That experience also includes performing cosmetic Paintless Dent Repair on private aircraft and business/corporate jets under supervision.
Aircraft work is not approached the same way as automotive PDR.
The objective is to use controlled metalworking techniques appropriate for the particular aircraft, damage, and circumstances while respecting the requirements associated with aircraft maintenance and repair.
The Dent Devils provides the specialized Paintless Dent Repair and cosmetic metalworking portion of an aircraft repair.
We do not independently determine whether aircraft damage is structurally acceptable, certify an aircraft as airworthy, or approve structural aircraft repairs.
Aircraft damage should be evaluated by appropriately authorized aircraft maintenance personnel and handled in accordance with applicable manufacturer maintenance or structural repair information and regulatory requirements.
When Paintless Dent Repair is determined to be an appropriate method, we can work in coordination with the aircraft owner, A&P mechanic, IA, repair station, or other appropriately authorized aircraft maintenance personnel to perform the cosmetic metalworking portion of the repair.
This is consistent with aircraft cosmetic PDR work we have performed previously under supervision.
Not every aircraft dent can or should be repaired using PDR.
Potential candidates may include certain:
Damage involving cracks, significant metal stretching, compromised fasteners, structural components, or other conditions requiring structural repair falls outside the scope of cosmetic Paintless Dent Repair.
If you’re unsure whether your aircraft may be a candidate, send us photographs and video of the damage for an initial review.
In certain situations, yes.
Paintless Dent Repair may allow qualifying hail dents to be improved or removed while preserving the aircraft’s existing painted finish.
Whether PDR is appropriate depends on the aircraft, location and severity of the damage, accessibility, construction of the affected area, and applicable aircraft maintenance requirements.
Potentially, yes.
Aluminum has been a major part of our metalworking and PDR experience. However, aircraft aluminum structures cannot simply be treated like automotive aluminum.
The aircraft construction, location and severity of the damage, manufacturer requirements, and appropriate authorization must all be considered before performing the repair.
Yes.
Our previous aircraft PDR experience includes cosmetic repairs on both small/private aircraft and corporate/business jets.
Hail damage is one of the primary types of aircraft cosmetic damage we evaluate for Paintless Dent Repair.
No.
Our specialty is Paintless Dent Repair and cosmetic metalworking.
Structural evaluation, determination of airworthiness, and approval of aircraft structural repairs remain the responsibility of appropriately authorized aircraft maintenance personnel.
Yes.
We can coordinate the Paintless Dent Repair portion of the work with the aircraft owner and appropriately authorized aircraft maintenance personnel.
Yes.
Aircraft PDR may be performed at the aircraft’s location when access, authorization, facility requirements, and working conditions are appropriate.
Please contact us with the aircraft’s location and information about the damage.
Have hail damage or cosmetic dents on your aircraft?
